About Village Lactation
Sara Huddleston
BA, IBCLC
Hello! I’m Sara Huddleston, a middle Tennessee native that currently lives in Old Hickory with my husband and our three school aged children. Between all of our children, I personally breastfed for over nine years. I hold a bachelors degree in Communication Disorders (Speech Pathology) from Butler University. After the birth of my first child, I sought help with breastfeeding from La Leche League while we navigated the challenges of the early days. After receiving help from and attending LLL meetings, I recognized how valuable peer to peer support can be and became an accredited La Leche League leader. Additionally, from 2015-2017, I had the pleasure of volunteering as a babywearing educator with Babywearing International of Middle Tennessee .
In 2018 I successfully completed the exam to become an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), and I am continuing the journey of helping parents with Village Lactation. I have experience as a hospital IBCLC and have worked with premature babies, multiples, exclusive pumpers, parents dealing with low supply, oversupply, and babies dealing with oral restrictions and more!
Village Lactation believes that support in the early days of parenting is critical, and that often translates into professional infant feeding support. My goals as your IBCLC are to provide quality, compassionate, and non judgmental lactation support to help YOU meet your feeding goals. I am so thrilled to work with you and your family.
